Bernhard Langer Youth Trophy
July 2–4, 2026
The Golfclub Augsburg (GCA) has a long tradition of hosting national and international youth championships. As early as the 1990s, the GCA hosted the Bernhard Langer Youth Tournaments, which later evolved into the prestigious “European Young Masters.” This successful legacy continues with the Bernhard Langer Youth Trophy (BLYT).
In 2024 and 2025, young golfers competed in the age groups U21, U18, and U16 over three days of play for titles, the overall victory, and valuable points toward the German youth and world rankings. The BLYT is an official tournament of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). In 2024, Philipp Macionga and Sara Nüssle won; in 2025, Henrik-Luka Schmitz and Emilia Briem. At the GCA during the BLYT, these promising talents can follow in the footsteps of Bernhard Langer, whose extraordinary career began on the GCA course.
Building on this success, the GCA is once again hosting the Bernhard Langer Youth Trophy from July 2–4, 2026. In 2026, participants can once again look forward to an attractive tournament setting featuring a practice round and Players Night the day before, a players’ tent, and physical therapy support.

Eligibility/ Number of participants/ Handicap index
- Amateurs (girls and boys) born in 2005 and younger who are members of a regular DGV member or a foreign golf club that belongs to its national association.
- A total of 90 participants: 35 girls and 55 boys
- Players with a maximum handicap index of 1.0 for boys and 4.0 for girls
Scoring and tee boxes
- Separate gross classification over 54 holes for girls and boys AK 21, 18 and 16.
- Boys: white (CR: 73.6 / SR: 142 / Par: 73)
- Girls: blue (CR: 75.8 / SR: 134/ Par: 73)

- Registration: Every player must register at the club secretary's office by 15:00 on 1 July.
- Trolleys: Can be borrowed from the secretary's office for a deposit (max. 10 trolleys)
- Electric trolleys are permitted.
- Rangefinders are permitted
- Caddies are not permitted - pre-caddies may be provided by GC Augsburg. Parents may go along as spectators
- Tee times and other information about the competition will be published on the info board.
- Photos will be taken during the tournament. Participation in the tournament constitutes consent to further publication.
- We reserve the right to make changes to the competition.
